Senior Backend Developer Opportunity

This is a high-profile position for a senior backend developer focused on building core features, secure APIs, and scalable systems in a TypeScript/AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and extending backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Designing and implementing transactional business logic for financial flows (e.g. onboarding, withdrawals).
  • Designing and maintaining PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Integrating with third-party APIs securely using OAuth2 and JWT.
  • Improving existing systems for scalability, reliability, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborating via GitHub and CI/CD workflows to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js, with the ability to work productively from day one.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns to optimize system efficiency.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and real-world queries.
  • Solid understanding of designing secure, well-documented REST APIs to meet business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with regulated systems, including KYC and audit logs to ensure compliance.
  • AWS Cognito and broader infrastructure expertise to drive innovation.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/IaC principles to streamline infrastructure management.
  • Understanding of polyglot environments, as Kotlin may be introduced in the future.
