Senior Project Manager Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is a seasoned leader who oversees complex projects from start to finish, driving results through strategic planning and execution. This individual collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and guarantee on-time delivery.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Foster collaboration across engineering, business, operations, and external partners.
  • Maintain compliance with governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Provide transparent and regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Guide junior project managers to enhance the project management function.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of project management experience with at least 3 years in a senior/lead capacity.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
