We are seeking a skilled Investment Accounting Professional to lead our family office's financial management.

About the Role

This critical position ensures accurate investment accounting and supports staff with complex entries and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage general ledger accounts and ensure their accuracy
  • Account for investments, utilizing platforms such as Sage, QBO, Geneva, and Investran
  • Apply consolidated accounting concepts and private equity accounting principles
  • Handle wealth enterprise accounting and entity cost allocation
  • Oversee trust and foundation accounting
  • Familiarize yourself with basic tax treatments and research skills

Candidates should have hands-on experience in both investment performance platforms and accounting systems, as well as a proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven expertise in investment accounting, including platforms like Sage, QBO, Geneva, and Investran

Strong understanding of consolidated accounting concepts and private equity accounting principles

Ability to manage general ledger accounts and ensure their accuracy

Familiarity with wealth enterprise accounting and entity cost allocation

Experience in trust and foundation accounting

Basic knowledge of tax treatments and research skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; advanced degree preferred
