Job Description:

The primary objective of the Field Support Engineer is to provide professional first-line technical support services to clients, encompassing remote and onsite assistance.

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring assigned infrastructure at client sites is properly configured, installed, tested, and operational.
  • Proactively identifying problems and errors as they occur, and documenting such incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to expedite diagnosis of errors and issues.
  • Investigating initial support requests, identifying root causes, and escalating to senior Field Engineers when necessary.
  • Providing up-to-date information about incident progress and resolution details via designated platforms.
  • Delivering first-line remote and onsite technical support to clients.
  • Reporting and escalating issues to relevant vendors when necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to plan activities and projects well in advance, considering potential changes in circumstances.
  • Capable of working effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude at work.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Effective task prioritization skills.

Academic Requirements and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
  • Associate-level certification in Data Centre technologies, Networking technologies, or Collaboration technologies.

Required Experience:

  • Entry-level experience in technical support, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in providing remote support in Collaboration technologies.
  • Understanding of Network routing and switching principles.
