Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled technical developer to maintain and develop solutions for one of our clients from the banking industry.

  • Our ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving digital products and technology services for clients and employees.
  • The successful candidate will apply software engineering practices, including user needs analysis, feature development, automated testing, and deployment.
  • S/he must ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • The site reliability engineer will also be responsible for building observability into solutions, monitoring production health, and helping resolve incidents and remediate root causes of risks and issues.
  • H/She should have good knowledge of Java and relevant Java tech stack.
  • Awareness of Clean Code and clean coding practices is essential.
  • Test Driven Development and ability to design Unit, Integration and Functional tests are must-haves.
  • API first design is also required.
  • Understanding of modern architecture and design patterns, including event driven systems and Microservices is highly desirable.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and hands-on DevOps experience are necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computers or equivalent, focusing on code development and maintenance.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar position, focused on Core banking integration area, in a development role.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentations and technical writing.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive team player eager to support colleagues when needed.
  • Predisposed to take on responsibility for tasks and work independently.
About the Role:

This role involves working closely with onsite and offshore teams during solution delivery. The ideal candidate should have good communication and presentation skills.
