Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the efficient management of cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization.

  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure, with a focus on right-sizing compute, storage, and database resources while reducing costs.
  • Closely track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, highlighting anomalies and providing actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation

Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Hands-on expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.) for automation and cost optimization.
  • Cost Monitoring and Optimization: Experience in tracking daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • SRE Concepts: Understanding of reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation principles.
