Risk Management Professional

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Risk Management Professional to join our team in the Enterprise Risk Management unit. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research, analytical, and communication skills to support risk assessments, strategic decision-making, and Board-level reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Business & Financials
  • Conduct benchmarking of balance sheets against peers, analyzing capital adequacy, NIM, cost-to-income, credit costs, GNPA/NNPA, RoA, RoE, etc.
  • Track and interpret peer disclosures, investor presentations, call transcripts, and annual reports for risk insights.
  • Research business models of peers across retail, MSME, Microfinance, Housing, and other segments.
  • Prepare structured notes on emerging sector risks, competitive strategies, and market positioning, delivering insights on yields, risk-adjusted returns, portfolio vulnerabilities, key risk drivers, etc.
  • Monitor macroeconomic developments (GDP, inflation, interest rates, liquidity, credit growth) and implement Risk-Based Pricing in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in documenting the Bank's ICAAP/CCAR/SCAP findings.
  1. Customer
  • Prepare sectoral risk outlooks for housing finance, MSME, Microfinance, gold loans, and vehicle loans, including early warning signals from global and domestic economic trends.
  • Prepare and publish integrated risk scores for key SBUs, actively engaging with SBUs to ensure implementation of corrective measures.
  • Contribute to risk posture reports, Board-level dashboards, and other reporting aspects on risk management at various committees/forums.
  • Conduct State-Level Risk Connect (SLRC) meetings, engaging with regional leadership teams, branch supervisors/officers to understand field-level insights on customers and staff, recommending enhancements to policies and processes.
  1. Innovation & Learning
  • Stay updated on laws and regulations related to the business.
  • Contribute to content preparation, learning materials for risk-related training programs.
  • Pursue relevant courses for cross-learning, preparing for growth opportunities.
  • Visit fields/branches to stay abreast of banking operations and area-related issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields (MBA/PGDM, FRM, CFA preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in research, financial analysis, consulting, or enterprise risk management.
  • Certifications in FRM/PRM are an added advantage.
