Strategic Operations Manager for Water Sustainability Initiatives

DigitalPaani is tackling water scarcity and pollution by ensuring the infrastructure that manages water actually works. We aim to transform the thousands of dysfunctional water treatment facilities in factories and buildings through our technology to recycle more water as well as reduce water losses.

We're looking for a motivated young professional with 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a VC-backed startup environment, to join our team from Stanford and IIT-Delhi and help us drive large scale impact.

About the Role

The Strategic Operations Manager role is an inherently dynamic one which could involve doing anything and everything required to make the company scale at any point. Expect a rewarding and challenging role that will provide a massive growth opportunity for those looking to work closely with a founding team and learn what it takes to build a startup.

The key responsibilities will entail:

  • Taking charge of People Operations, including building and maintaining culture, onboarding process, performance evaluation process, regular feedback mechanisms and more.
  • Driving company messaging externally by taking charge of company branding, PR, securing external opportunities to share our story and so on.
  • Driving the hiring of high quality talent.
  • Driving innovation and process improvement across the company by enabling adoption of AI across every layer of the company as well as working on debottlenecking any company process as and when needed.
  • Ensuring smooth business reporting from all business verticals.
  • SUPPORTING ON KEY LARGE DEALS.
  • Ensuring smooth running of corporate functions, including admin, finance, contracts, legal and so on.
  • Any other Special Projects such as managing DigitalPaani's next fundraise.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role meets the following requirements:

  • Drive and motivation: This role will be demanding and need someone who's willing to push themselves and work relentlessly as needed. This is not a 9 to 5.
  • Sharpness: Candidates will be assessed on their ability to process any type of new information and work on something new rapidly.
  • Ambition: The ideal candidate is likely only 2-5 years into their career but with a desire to see a 1-10 journey in a startup closely, perhaps with the goal of scaling companies or building their own startup later.
  • Consistent record of excellence across academic and professional performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, people skills, and project management skills.

This is an in-person role in our office in Gurgaon. Based on the industry standards and the location, the estimated salary for this position is ₹80 lakhs per annum.
