Job Title: Strategic Operations Director

Location: Gurgaon, India

We are seeking an experienced senior professional to collaborate closely with our founders and executive team. From the outset, this individual will play a crucial role in boosting productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management and investor relations, facilitating cross-functional workstreams, and driving OKR adoption across departments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving successful business outcomes for startups in the 0–10 journey as a senior CoS or operator, with a strong grasp of strategy and operations. Additional experience in management consulting and/or venture capital/private equity is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate preparations and organize collaterals for board meetings, investor presentations, business updates, and executive-board engagements.
  • Serve as the point of contact and internal resource for both current and potential investors.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch materials, researching the VC-PE landscape, supporting fundraising conversations, and managing due diligence processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advisor and sounding board to the CEO on key business decisions.
  • Lead annual operating plan (AOP) and business planning exercises. Conduct periodic FP&A reviews to monitor fiscal health and recommend course corrections.
  • Collaborate with the founders and executive team to develop and implement OKRs, ensuring alignment across departments and tracking execution.
  • Develop and refine KPIs. Build a data-driven culture by rigorously analyzing business performance data and providing actionable insights to inform executive decisions.
  • Oversee daily operations and proactively resolve challenges to ensure optimal performance.
  • Review, design, and execute improvements to the organizational structure, addressing knowledge and skills gaps.

New Initiatives:

  • Lead key cross-functional initiatives and workstreams with executive stakeholder buy-in.
  • Proactively drive market research efforts to improve product positioning and competitiveness, working directly with founders to address critical product challenges.
  • Identify and develop new revenue channels and opportunities.
  • Manage other strategic initiatives or special projects as mandated by the CEO.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years as a senior operator or Chief of Staff in a high-growth startup, with experience in management consulting or venture capital/private equity. Prior experience in B2B SaaS or US enterprise technology is mandatory.
  • MBA from a top-tier business school is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong ability to drive alignment, decision-making, and informed debate efficiently.
  • Highly organized, with experience managing multiple projects across stakeholders, with attention to detail.
  • Proven experience building and managing mid-large teams or directing cross-functional resources.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across the organization.
  • A builder by nature, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a high bar for ownership and accountability.

Compensation: ₹40-45 Lakhs per annum
