Job Summary: We seek an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead operations in our 2P / 3P plants. This role drives plant production and asset utilization levels within agreed standards with the co-manufacturing facility, global quality, good manufacturing practices, environment, health, and safety.">

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate future business needs and develop strategic plans for infrastructural development in the Plant, including capacity expansion, automation, etc.
  • Study past performance trends in capacity utilization levels in the 2P / 3P plants, commodity costs, productivity, labour union presence/threats, skilled manpower availability, and prepare contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets for the 2P / 3P plants, allocate resources, and approve initiatives and capital expenditure proposals by evaluating ROI and payback periods.
  • Collaborate with teams from 2P / 3P plants to estimate resource requirements such as equipment, production lines, facilities, raw materials, utilities, and manpower, and ensure strict adherence to allocated budgets.
  • Negotiate all 2P / 3P contracts, share updates on business developments, issue resolution, and contract term changes with the leadership team.
  • Identify areas of improvement in 2P / 3P plants operations and suggest methods for improving cost, quality, and processes to significantly mitigate gaps and delays.
  • Forecast possible crises & bottlenecks in 2P / 3P plants Production due to market demand & supply fluctuations, plant ramp ups, etc., and create contingency plans for the same.
  • Coordinate with R&D and marketing teams to ensure that 2P / 3P plant teams understand product requirements and work towards achieving best-in-class quality.
  • Ensure optimal performance of 2P / 3P plant sites on environment, health, and safety by monitoring reportable incidents, hazardous waste treatment scores, etc.
  • Ensure optimal 2P / 3P plants performance on cost parameters by monitoring actual costs vs budgeted, variance analysis to identify root causes, and proposing action plans to achieve cost optimization.

Required Qualifications Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 8-9 years of relevant experience in FMCG, foods, beverage, and/or hair oil/cosmetic manufacturing industry. 3P manufacturing experience is mandatory.
