Medical Coder

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced medical coder to accurately assign codes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Review and analyze medical reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Ensure coding compliance in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Code a variety of procedures including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Stay updated with coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the department.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in medical coding (IR preferred)
  • MIPS Coding is Mandatory
  • In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes
  • Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies
