Data Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data.

About the Role:

This critical position is responsible for validating data migrations, transformations, and pipelines in Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and validate data migrations, ETL/ELT processes, and transformations in Snowflake.
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems.
  • Write and execute SQL queries in Snowflake to verify data integrity and transformations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for Snowflake data pipelines.
  • Closely collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts to gather test requirements.
  • Document test cases, results, and defects, and drive defect resolution.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in data testing (ETL, migrations, transformations).
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake (data validation, transformations, query optimization, schema validation).
  • Proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries in Snowflake.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, DBT, Matillion, or similar).
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks for data validation (e.g., Py Test, dbt tests, Great Expectations).
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and reconciliation methods.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with proven experience in team collaboration.
