Data Verification Specialist

\

We are seeking a professional with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and proven experience in validating data migrations, transformations, and pipelines. This role is critical to ensuring data accuracy, quality, and compliance in our software tool being implemented to meet audit requirements.

This Data Verification Specialist will work collaboratively with existing resources (data engineers, BI developers, business analysts) and will not operate in isolation. Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a team environment are essential.

\Key Responsibilities\

  • Test and validate data migrations, ETL/ELT processes, and transformations in Snowflake.\
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems.\
  • Write and execute SQL queries in Snowflake to verify data integrity and transformations.\
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for Snowflake data pipelines.\
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts to gather test requirements.\
  • Document test cases, results, and defects, and drive defect resolution.\
\Required Skills & Experience\
  • \
  • 6+ years of experience in data testing (ETL, migrations, transformations).\
  • Strong Snowflake expertise (data validation, transformations, query optimization, schema validation).\
  • Proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries in Snowflake.\
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, DBT, Matillion, or similar).\
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks for data validation (e.g., PyTest, dbt tests, Great Expectations).\
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and reconciliation methods.\
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with proven experience in team collaboration.\
