Conversational AI Systems Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled technical lead to design and build conversational AI systems that integrate multiple LLM providers. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for architecting real-time interactions, handling complex state management, ensuring performance, observability, and security across the stack.

This position demands a deep understanding of modern web architectures, cloud-native deployments, and AI/LLM integration patterns. You will work on implementing advanced chat session management, including context persistence, token optimization, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

You will also design and optimize high-throughput APIs (REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets/SSE) with rate limiting and fault tolerance. Additionally, you will integrate token metering, analytics, and usage-based billing systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with backend engineering, event-driven design, API performance optimization, and cloud & infrastructure technologies such as AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, serverless compute, and load balancing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in full-stack or platform engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering production-grade distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of LLM APIs and AI/ML system integrations.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience from a pedigree background.
