Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned credit professional to lead our end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring initiatives. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth while minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Policy Development:
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective credit policies that align with business objectives.
  3. Work closely with data scientists to analyze and validate underwriting models, ensuring they meet performance benchmarks.
  4. Determine key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor portfolio profitability and risk thresholds.
  5. Develop automation strategies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  6. Recommend pricing strategies based on segmentation analysis.
  7. Standardize policies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Performance Metrics:
  1. Monitor portfolio performance and recommend policy changes to the Policy Head based on analysis outcomes.
  2. Conduct regular credit reviews of existing portfolios and identify high-risk segments.
  3. Implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  4. Ensure delinquency rates meet company standards.
  5. Identify technological solutions to enhance existing processes and portfolio management functions.
  6. Analyze various management information systems (MIS) to track portfolio performance and risk.
New Business Integrations:
  1. Understand new partner products and target segments.
  2. Requisition necessary data from channel partners at application time.
  3. Develop policies based on product information and prevailing models.
  4. Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments.
  5. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  6. Monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs, addressing bottlenecks as needed.
Relationship Management:

Maintain relationships with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations.

Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from reputable institutions.
  • Preferred qualifications: BTech with MBA.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years experience, with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Strong understanding of risk performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using data processing tools.
  • Data-driven analytical approach and team player mentality.
