  1. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a System Operations Engineer, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our backend services.

About the Role

  1. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with experience in designing and implementing scalable monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using AWS services.
  2. Achieve this by working collaboratively with development teams to design and support scalable, reliable, and resilient systems on AWS.
  3. This includes identifying areas for improvement, analyzing system performance, and providing recommendations for optimization and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated solutions for deployment, scaling, and operations to enhance system efficiency and availability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures, operations, and architecture configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and smooth handovers.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews to identify root causes and preventive measures to improve overall system resilience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to site reliability and platform engineering to continuously improve system performance and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Familiarity with Platform Engineering concepts and principles.
