Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Lead the management and orchestration of containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS or other).
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes and enhance system performance.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improved observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives by effectively managing cloud infrastructure, identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure DevOps best practices are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Oversee security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, helping them grow in their roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (5 years) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration (EKS, GKE, or similar).
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of observability principles, including logging, monitoring, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Experience in cost optimization within AWS, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing efficient resource utilization strategies.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Experience with service mesh tools, like Istio or Linkerd.
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
