Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

At Idyllic Services, we are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our Corporate IT team.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Role Overview:

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based network architectures. This includes leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to optimize cloud environments and support Applied Cloud products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructures, including Azure VNets and GCP VPCs.
  • Develop and utilize IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and automation scripting (Python).
  • Manage and maintain cloud environments with a focus on both server-based and serverless infrastructures.
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
  • Optimize and implement disaster recovery plans and high-availability solutions.
  • Maintain and operate infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, OpManager).
  • Develop and update technical documentation, best practices, and standards.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related role, with demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms, especially Azure and GCP.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN).
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python) for automation and workflow management.
Certifications (Preferred):
  • CCNA or CCNP certifications.
  • Azure Professional Certifications (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate).
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
