Job Title: Legal Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled legal advisor to support our team in evolving and improving legal processes and procedures.

  • Support the Deputy General Counsel in critical initiatives to enhance legal frameworks and protocols;
  • Identify legal and regulatory issues in service or product offerings, including awareness of privacy and data security concerns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and minimize risks;
  • Engage strategically in risk assessment/mitigation and develop innovative approaches to address legal complexities in support of business objectives;
  • Provide practical and creative legal guidance on a broad range of topics in a dynamic environment;
  • Work closely with teams responsible for driving business growth and establish relationships across the legal department and with other key contributors;
  • Assist with corporate, M&A, and other legal matters as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate transactions;
  • Provide legal support throughout the M&A process, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing external counsel, and ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including those related to environmental, health, and safety, anti-bribery and corruption, and data protection laws;
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with operations and strategic initiatives;
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risks effectively;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, external counsel, and industry associations;
  • Represent the company in negotiations and at industry forums as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in legal advisory roles, with a focus on corporate law, M&A, and regulatory compliance;
  • Excellent understanding of legal frameworks, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in contract review, negotiation, and management;
  • Experience with legal research, documentation, and presentation;
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
