This position is responsible for facilitating the movement of goods, products, and resources from one place to another. The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of shipping routes and delivery are managed effectively, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of shipping routes and delivery to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.">
  • Audit freight invoices and approve or recommend payment.">
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies for both international and domestic freight services.">
  • Create and maintain key freight KPIs for logistics operations.">
  • Act as an escalation point for communication with suppliers, 3PL, finance, sales, warehouse, and manufacturing teams.">
  • Work with transportation companies to resolve shipping and receiving issues.">
  • Maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders by accurately interpreting contracts, tariffs, and rates.">
  • Evaluate existing freight rates and propose changes in freight carriers, rates, and discount structures.">
  • Create efficient processes to collect, distribute, and store freight quote information.">
  • Coordinate with the distribution center on packaging requirements and create processes for order placement and inventory tracking.">
  • Manage freight claim submission and follow-up by working across department lines and with customers.">
  • Process customer requests for industry compliance and work with suppliers and product engineering to ensure necessary documents are received.">

    • Transportation Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of international and domestic transportation processes.">
    • Pricing Quoting Experience: Solid experience in pricing and quoting for all modes (air, ocean, rail, ground, FTL, LTL).">
    • Geography Knowledge: Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography, including countries and major cities.">
    • Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general industry documentation and communications.">
    • Negotiation Skills: Experience reviewing and negotiating transportation contracts.">
    • ERP System Proficiency: Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP system and Microsoft Office applications.">
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.">
    • Time Management: Excellent time management skills.">
    • Reporting Skills: Ability to report metrics and analysis.">
    • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.">
    • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.">
