Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AVD Migration Specialist to join our team.

  • This role involves installing and configuring AVD technologies, including host pools and AVD images.
  • The successful candidate will analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvements for Azure WVD based production configurations.
  • They will also be responsible for migrating virtual desktops from on-prem to cloud, tenant to tenant.

Key Requirements:

  • Primary Skills:
  • Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer experience with a strong understanding of AVD technologies, host pools, and scaling.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to recommend improvement actions for Azure WVD based production configurations.
  • Experience with migrating virtual desktops from on-prem to cloud, tenant to tenant.
  • Strong knowledge of FSlogix technologies for user and office 365 profiling requirements.
  • Azure site recovery experience for workload replication and BCDR requirements.
  • Document management and maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of Azure migrate and relevant tools for migrating workloads.
  • Manage Azure Active Directory for Azure Virtual Desktop related systems.
  • Secondary Skills:
  • Implementation, management, and support of Virtual Desktop environments.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and concepts supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including networking, compute, storage, subscriptions, and security.
  • IP Networking, VNet peering, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory experience.
