System Administrator Position Overview

The objective of this system administrator role is to provide high-quality technical support and solutions for our organization's infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of our systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

  • LVM concepts are essential for implementing file systems, managing storage resources, and resolving related issues.
  • Multipath functionality validation, LUN addition, and enabling multipath configuration are key responsibilities.
  • It is crucial to optimize resource allocation to meet performance requirements.
  • Regular server patching ensures timely correction of OS vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration with vendors is necessary for resolving hardware and OS-level issues efficiently.
  • Log rotation, file system usage monitoring, and permission/ownership adjustments are critical tasks.
  • The system administrator must implement changes according to application and DB team requirements at the OS level.
  • Strict adherence to SLA-defined Do's and Don'ts during BAU tasks is mandatory.
  • Providing service management for NTP, SSH, AUTOFS, and other services is an integral part of this role.
  • Troubleshooting server access and bootable issues, including grub fixing, is a fundamental responsibility.
  • Operating system migration is an added advantage in this position.
