Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description

Maintaining and managing quality-related documents is crucial for compliance with industry standards and regulations. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Documentation Management:
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, inspection records, and audit reports.
    • Ensure all documents are version-controlled and accessible to relevant personnel.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Verify documentation complies with industry standards such as ISO 22000 and regulatory requirements.
    • Stay updated on changes in industry regulations and incorporate them into quality documentation.
  • Quality Audits:
    • Assist in internal and external quality audits by preparing necessary documentation and records.
    • Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are documented and implemented.
  • Training and Support:
    • Conduct training sessions for staff on quality procedures and documentation practices.
    • Provide support to team members in understanding and implementing quality documentation requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of more efficient documentation practices.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to enhance overall quality management systems.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze data related to quality performance and report findings to management.
    • Prepare regular reports on quality metrics and documentation status.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance documentation within the food industry, preferably in rice production or processing.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation practices.
