Investigation Position: Cruelty to Animals

Our organization is seeking an experienced investigator to conduct field investigations into animal cruelty cases in various industries. As a cruelty to animals investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and professional investigations from beginning to end.

  • Conduct short- and long-term investigations including desk research, travel to locations, and use of photography and videography to document conditions and illegal conduct.
  • Obtain and inspect relevant documents, develop trusted contacts, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Submit detailed daily log notes, view and transcribe videos, and prepare reports of findings with a clear narrative.
  • Cooperate fully in police and court proceedings, behave legally and professionally, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

To be successful in this position, you will have investigative journalism experience or other related fields, basic veterinary knowledge, and thorough knowledge of animal protection laws and rights issues. Fluency in English is required, with fluency in other Indian languages being an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle stress and trauma. They should be willing to follow instructions carefully, work independently in stressful environments, and make sound judgments.
