Strategic Risk Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Develop and implement credit risk models, as well as review and enhance associated frameworks in an unsecured lending context.
- Credit Risk Strategies: Implement and monitor credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle-acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell & collections.
- Portfolio Performance Analysis: Regularly review portfolio performance on a periodic basis across various risk metrics for early warning signals and analyze portfolio trends to track portfolio quality on accepted risk parameters.
- Risk Policy Development: Ensure timely review and update of risk policies to reflect dynamic external environment and internal risk appetite.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze industry data, prepare management information/dashboards, and provide insights to senior management on changing market conditions.
- Process Optimization: Regularly review processes for adherence to risk policies and ensure controls are effectively in place and functioning.
- Risk Framework Enhancement: Coordinate with internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a financial institution/lending company.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL is mandatory. Excellent understanding of data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Additive Qualifications: Experience in microfinance/MSME lending will be an added advantage.
