Job Title: Strategic Communication Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative strategic communication specialist to design and develop engaging interactive videos that review and reinforce the learning objectives of a professional communication certification exam.

The strategic communication specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, media specialists, and project stakeholders, to create high-quality, standards-aligned video content that prepares learners for certification success while strengthening practical workplace communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Communication:
  • Develop clear, accurate, and learner-appropriate interactive video scripts and scenarios that reflect certification standards, workplace relevance, and professional communication best practices.
  • Translate complex concepts into concise and actionable communication strategies for diverse business and cultural settings.
  • Provide real-world examples of effective communication challenges and solutions in a professional workplace context.
Instructional Design:
  • Design interactive videos that engage learners through realistic workplace scenarios and decision-making opportunities, aligning each video with Bloom's Taxonomy and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels required by certification objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure scripts and storyboards translate seamlessly into high-quality interactive media.
Collaboration and Feedback:
  • Work closely with instructional designers, editors, and project managers to ensure instructional quality and accuracy.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders into video content, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications Required:
  1. Strong knowledge of professional and workplace communication practices, including effective communication strategies and principles.
  2. Prior experience in instructional video design, curriculum development, or interactive learning content, preferably in a professional communication or business education setting.
  3. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, especially for educational video scripting, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  4. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communication, Business Communication, Education, or English, with a focus on professional communication or instructional design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience teaching or training in professional communication, business education, or workplace skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
  2. Familiarity with Bloom's Taxonomy, instructional design principles, and competency-based assessments, with the ability to apply these concepts in a professional communication context.
  3. Certification in professional communication or another relevant credential, demonstrating expertise in strategic communication and instructional design.
