Job Title: Senior Software Development Lead

We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to lead the development of scalable applications and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and deliver software code.
  • Fix bugs and provide production support for existing applications.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
Technical Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with Python programming language.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with SQL database management.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with AWS Cloud Data Platform.
  • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, ECR, S3, EC2, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Glue, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch, IAM, RDS, Backup Services, and Systems Manager.
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker containers and containerization.
  • Implementation and management of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform scripting).
  • Participate in business process analysis, use case creation, and requirements definition.
  • Experience with writing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and creating deployment automations.
  • Design, prototype, develop, and unit test solutions for projects and maintenance releases.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, system interface diagrams, unit testing scenarios, and system support documentation.
  • Follow best practices and standards to ensure technical compliance.
  • Adhere to high-quality software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Provide root cause analysis to resolve complex issues as part of support.
  • Work on multiple priorities at the same time and manage work/time effectively.
  • Demonstrate accountability by contributing to the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Desirable experience in BioTech/Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and people interactions within their own team or department.
  • Experience with Lucid chart-like tools to diagram designs.
  • Work with AWS and Solution Architects to get designs approved before starting development.
  • Familiarity with database design concepts, API design concepts, intermediary SQL programming.
  • Implementation of CI/CD pipeline experience is desirable.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.
Nice-to-have Skills:
  • Motivated self-starter team player who is organized and methodical.
  • Good database skills in either DB2 or Oracle.
  • Good data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Performance tuning of queries and report calculations.
  • Knowledge of best practice architectures.
