Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Description: This role involves leading the company's digital transformation, defining its IT vision and strategy, and implementing changes to improve customer experience. The successful candidate will have over 20 years of experience in IT or tech, preferably in retail organizations, with expertise in digital transformation, omnichannel systems, data management, and DevOps.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the IT & Digital transformation vision and strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
  • Position the company as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility - own innovation charter across the organization.
  • Advise the senior management team on emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.
  • Define futuristic IT architecture focused on experience-led customer / employee centric systems – delivering a seamless omni-channel experience across sales and service.
  • Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • AOP & IT Budget Management. Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.
  • Recruit, hire and motivate a high-performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Over 20 years of experience in IT/tech - preferably in retail organizations or in services companies while managing end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises.
  • Experience in digital transformation for enterprises - experience with retail industry preferred - spanning across business processes.
  • Experience with omnichannel systems required for a new-generation retailer.
  • Experience across applications, infrastructure, network and end-user IT environment operations.
  • Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture - spanning applications, data and security.
  • Experience in establishing an IT governance model across the organization.
  • Experience in DevOps transformation.
  • Experience in Process transformation.
  • Exposure to AI and automation technologies.
  • Willingness to take risks and ability to start from scratch.
  • Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT services - experience in building and managing a partner ecosystem.
  • Front-line leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of technology and architecture concepts - Industry trends/disruptors.
  • Team building and team management skills.
