Job Summary

A senior network engineer is required to join our organization. The professional will be engaged in proactive network maintenance, immediate issue resolution, and supporting enterprise-level communication and messaging solutions.

About the Role

  • Monitor and maintain network operations, manage and troubleshoot technical issues, ensure network security, and provide technical support to clients.
  • Provide 24X7X365 NOC Support for VAS related issues.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of SMS NOC Customer/Vendor/Route/Rate Configuration Management, Trace Capturing & Troubleshooting.
  • New clients interconnect and interconnection testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to prioritize network alarms and incidents to fulfill KPI commitments.
  2. Monitoring Disk Space, log files, Dumps/logs purging, application up-time.
  3. Capacity management and reporting in case of possible breach of capacity.
  4. Answer customer inquiries via phone and email and provide timely & high level of service.
  5. Use a variety of tools (Ethereal/Wireshark, ping, traceroute, browser, etc.) to quickly verify reported events.
  6. Head to Head testing/configuration with clients.
  7. Identify opportunities to improve processes and sponsor introducing system changes to improve efficiency.
  8. Management reporting as per requirement.
  9. Maintain a good understanding of all NOC processes and implement them appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in VOIP technologies, including familiarity with SIP and RTP protocols.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in A2P SMS technologies, including familiarity with SMPP and TCP/IP protocols and proficiency in PCAP analysis.
  • Experience in working at a leading A2P operator would be an advantage.
  • Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructures.
