Job Overview

A leading provider of content to the gaming and betting industry is seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Quality Assurance team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of QA processes, and a proven ability to be an independent contributor who can unblock themselves and peers.

  • Automation Development:
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for both UI and backend using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.
    • Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
    • Write and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • API testing:
    • Write automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman for validating RESTful APIs.
    • Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments.
    • Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.
  • Agile and Continuous Integration:
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
    • Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solving and troubleshooting:
    • Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently.
    • Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code.
    • Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables.
    • Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.
    • Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.

Required Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in software development and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Experience with automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman and RestAssured.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
  • Cloud-based testing environments and services knowledge (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing test environments.
