Housekeeping Associate Job Description

Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
  • Post caution signs and contact other departments directly for urgent repairs
  • Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near housekeeper carts

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior work experience is required
  • No supervisory experience is necessary
  • No license or certification is required

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Related work experience in a hospitality setting
