As a seasoned instrumentation professional, we seek an accomplished Lead Instrumentation Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of electrical systems for Compressors and Gas/Steam Turbine applications.

The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to integrate cost-effective solutions into their designs, ensuring adherence to international standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design Execution: Apply sound engineering principles to execute designs on assigned projects, meeting Baker Hughes standards.
  • Instrumentation Selection: Select and size instrumentation for industrial applications, ensuring compliance with international design standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality optimal instrumentation designs that meet customer contractual requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on assigned projects.
  • Deliverables: Produce all sensing and instrumentation deliverables, encompassing both basic and detailed engineering, for assigned projects.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client discussions and project review meetings, demonstrating ownership of the instrumentation design for the safe and reliable operation of rotating equipment.
  • 3D Modelling: Utilize 3D software to review instrumentation loop arrangements based on installation conditions.
  • SMART Instrumentation: Design and configure SMART instrumentation to mitigate susceptibility to electric and electromagnetic noise.
  • Electrical Optimization: Optimize electrical installations to standardize solutions in collaboration with the Manufacturing department.

The ideal candidate will have a B.E/BTech or M.E/MTech in Instrumentation Control or Electronics Instrumentation, with at least 5 years of proven experience in an engineering position focused on instrumentation design.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Instrumentation Control or Electronics Instrumentation, is required. A master's degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in instrumentation design, with a minimum of 1 year in rotating equipment design.
