Job Title: Data Platform Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining large-scale data platforms in a hybrid environment. This includes expertise in AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift and Athena, as well as event-driven architectures using Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS and EventBridge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end data platform architecture from ingestion to transformation to consumption
  • Develop and maintain scalable and decoupled data pipelines and microservices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate services into a cohesive data architecture
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills, especially in Python, with a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Proven problem-solving ability with a focus on writing clean, maintainable and efficient code
  • Deep understanding of data platforms, including conceptual and practical knowledge of data ingestion, processing and consumption
  • Familiarity with microservices-based architectures, including service communication, deployment strategies and monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling data platforms in production environments
  • Expertise in AWS ecosystem, including EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift and Athena
  • Understanding of event-driven systems, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS and EventBridge
