IT Support for Manufacturing Execution Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT support specialist to join our team and provide technical assistance to manufacturing staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which monitors and controls production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot issues with the MES software and hardware to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
  • Monitor system performance, implement updates, and make necessary adjustments to optimize the MES for efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of new MES systems and integrate them with other enterprise systems like ERP.
  • Collect and analyze real-time data from the shop floor to identify bottlenecks, track production, and improve decision-making.
  • Provide technical assistance to production staff and develop training materials to help them use the MES effectively.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and user guides, for the MES.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MES software and understanding of databases.
  • Solid understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle, from order release to finished goods, and common production challenges.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and use data to drive improvements in production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with production teams and provide training.
