Purchasing Administration

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for expediting the delivery of purchase orders, assisting in preparing requests for quotations, and obtaining competitive pricing for specifications as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budget shells from designer specifications
  • Prepare reports such as bid summaries
  • Close project files and maintain project storage logs
  • Maintain disclaimers, credit applications, and vendor information
  • Able to maintain Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards at all levels from sourcing of products to storage
  • To make purchase orders based on approved quotations and follow up with vendors for delivery of materials
  • To maintain product specifications for all items to be purchased and maintain data for the same in the computer
  • To provide required goods and services to the operations department
  • To uphold purchasing ethics when deciding upon vendors

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Graduate/Diploma education
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an office administrative role or 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficiency in Material Control, MS Office, MS Excel
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
