Job Description

This position involves implementing and ensuring the quality of Interior & CAB Domain deliverables within committed limits. The successful candidate will participate in the production of deliverables in accordance with planning targets, design products considering project requirements, and prepare and document Mechanical Domain Design Reviews.

  • Implement Train Design rules, processes and tools (single-domain) for Interior & CAB Domain deliverables.
  • Participate in production of deliverables in accordance with planning targets on Mechanical Domain assigned work-packages.
  • Design products considering project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.).
  • Prepare and document Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule.
  • Check respect of Allocated volumes/interfaces (no-clashes) on internal design.
  • Report on Mechanical Domain activities progress, anticipate issues and alert if needed.
  • Respect and/or allocate requirements and mechanical interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipment.
  • Analyse and consolidate change request impacts on domain scope.
  • Produce Domain deliverables (Requirement management in DOORs tool, Validation Plan, design deliveries, design reviews, Co-engineering with cross functional teams etc.).
  • Validate relevant Mechanical Domain deliverables and secure planning.
  • Verify design via mock-ups or simulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineering graduate with 5 to 7 years of strong design exposure, preferably in Railway products. They should have knowledge of basic product design life cycle and engineering rigor to achieve first time right. Good communications and interpersonal skills, including with third parties (customer), are essential. Time management and reporting skill are also required.
