Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned technical professional to lead our data migration and conversion efforts. As a Senior Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for developing solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.

You will design, build, and deploy ETL processes using BODS, ensuring performance optimization and understanding CDS views as sources for data extraction. Additionally, you will extract data from legacy systems to SAP or other databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, Teradata, and others.

As a leader, you will oversee team efforts in data migration and conversion activities. Your expertise will enable you to identify SAP data migration as-is processes and to-be processes, write technical specifications/configuration/testing documents, and coordinate with business or functional teams on ERP business processes and data used for loading.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP data conversion and migration projects
  • Experience working in ETL/reporting/business intelligence applications, with SAP BODS skill being a must-have
  • Data profiling, data cleansing, and data remediation skills
  • Familiarity with FICO, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM, HCM, VC, and EWM modules
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL query tools, entity relationship models, SAP data models, database relationships, primary, and foreign key relationships
  • End-to-end SAP data migration project experience, with at least three successful projects under your belt
  • Data validation, verification, and cleansing using various tools
  • SQL performance tuning and monitoring expertise
  • Ability to read and write complex SQL statements, including multi-table joins, nested queries, and correlated subqueries
  • Hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, Google, Alibaba) and cloud-based products (SAP, Salesforce, Ariba) knowledge
  • Data science, Python, AI/ML knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with client teams
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, organizational, and motivational skills
  • Certification in data migration/ETL tools is preferred
