Job Title: Airport Ground Staff

Summary:

The airport ground staff is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks, perform visual inspections, and report any defects or issues.
  • Airline Operations: Coordinate with airline staff to ensure timely departure and arrival of flights, handle baggage and cargo operations, and manage ground handling equipment.
  • Airport Operation: Ensure compliance with airport regulations, manage parking and loading/unloading procedures, and coordinate with other departments to maintain a seamless airport experience.
  • Hospitality: Provide excellent customer service, resolve passenger complaints, and ensure a warm welcome for all passengers.
  • Aviation Security: Monitor airport security protocols, report any suspicious activity, and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Cabin Crew Activities: Collaborate with cabin crew members to ensure safe and efficient boarding/deplaning, handle cabin cleanliness, and assist with meal and beverage services.
  • Ground Staff Activities: Participate in pre-boarding preparations, ensure accurate documentation, and provide assistance to passengers with special needs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with colleagues, management, and external partners to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Ground Handling: Operate ground handling equipment, manage aircraft towing, and ensure efficient turnaround times.
  • Cargo Handling: Manage cargo loading/unloading procedures, handle customs clearance, and ensure secure storage.
  • Air Traffic Control: Assist air traffic controllers with communication, navigation, and surveillance duties.
  • Passenger Handling: Greet and assist passengers, manage check-in procedures, and ensure a smooth passenger flow.
  • Airport Ground Handling: Oversee ground handling operations, manage fueling, and ensure airport infrastructure is well-maintained.
  • Airport Cargo: Manage cargo handling operations, ensure accurate inventory management, and maintain clear communication with airlines and freight forwarders.
  • Ground Operation: Coordinate with airline staff to plan and execute ground operations, ensure punctual departures and arrivals, and manage airport resource allocation.
  • Aviation: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, participate in training programs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ground Management: Lead by example, mentor junior staff, and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • Higher Secondary, Secondary School, Vocational Course qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities
