Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a VP – Site Reliability Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SRE principles, with experience in defining and implementing Service Level Objectives and Error Budgets. They will also possess excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of critical production support processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement SRE strategy to drive automation culture and reduce toil.
  • Develop methodologies to identify and automate or eliminate toil-heavy processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Improve service quality by developing metrics with actionable plans to enhance service quality/SLA and optimize delivery.
  • Design monitoring strategy to implement monitoring capabilities and design reliability improvements.
  • Perform chaos engineering to conduct capacity planning and drive continuous improvement from incidents.
  • Lead architectural reviews to contribute to test and deployment processes to ensure reliability and automation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years working experience in SRE role with practical experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives and Error Budgets.
  • Experience in monitoring and observability technologies for enterprise-grade production systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of critical production support processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with one/more public/private cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SRE principles and ability to evangelize.
  • Working knowledge of modern observability tooling and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Configuration Management Solutions like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
