We're seeking a talented Senior Lead Engineer (7-10 years' experience) to join us on this exciting journey.

This role involves developing leading property and market data insights to power Real Commercial products.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams globally, leading the design, development, and optimization of features for high-quality, scalable solutions.

Your typical responsibilities will include:

• Leading or significantly contributing to initiatives with strategic focus and value
• Solving deep, complex technical problems in ways that enable other team members to learn and extend
• Supporting the Engineering Manager/Tech Lead in setting the technical direction
• Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team
• Supporting and driving continuous improvement of our production systems and being an advocate for the overall health of our systems
• Working with stakeholders to design high quality solutions that meet the needs of our users
• Writing, testing and documenting code according to REA Engineering standards and practices

We are looking for someone with:

• Well-versed in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Data modelling
• Experience with Data pipelines
• Experience with Data consumption
• Experience with Data analysis and documentation
• Experience with Data warehousing
• Advanced skills in designing solutions that scale and perform for millions of users.
• Advanced skills in developing long-term system architecture strategies
• Experience with modern software development techniques (e.g. functional programming, microservice architecture, test-driven development and CI/CD)
• Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders
• Able to understand business, customer and consumer needs to provide appropriate data solutions
• Able to mentor other engineers in a collaborative agile team environment
• Someone passionate about data and the latest data technologies
• Good awareness of TDD, CI/CD approaches and tools

Bonus Points for:

• Experience Big Query/PostgreSQL/MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS (S3, Lambda, IaC), Airflow, Interacting with REST APIs
