Job Title: Tech Lead - Platform Architecture

We are pushing the boundaries of ed-tech and delivering the future of efficient, scalable learning systems. Our solution streamlines essential operations, from advanced CRM and profile management to standardized test prep, automatic grading, and real-time dashboards.

This role will evolve from a specialized tutoring platform into a modular operating system for all service businesses that bill by the hour. As we expand our product offering to include integrated payroll, proposals, whiteboarding, and AI-powered tools, we need a Tech Lead with strong architectural expertise in AWS and platform design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate high-level product vision into an optimal technical strategy.
  • Analyze and document the current platform architecture; identify bottlenecks and produce a formal Architecture Gap Report.
  • Design and implement efficient architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven, DB index vs. cache).
  • Drive scalable multi-tenant architecture for user/workspace models and complex permission systems.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Demonstrated success in designing multi-tenant architectures and scalable systems handling 1,000+ requests per minute.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, and Cognito.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).
