Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to lead end-to-end factory operations across multiple shifts. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing shift supervisors and the production workforce to deliver safe, high-quality output at optimal cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily/weekly/monthly production plans and schedules to ensure on-time execution.
  • Drive efficiency, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by reducing waste and downtime through Lean methods.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), recipes, and specifications to resolve floor issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with procurement to plan raw material/packaging requirements and maintain optimal inventories.
  • Oversee manpower allocation, rosters, and overtime; partner with HR on hiring and staffing.
  • Lead factory trials and scale-up for new products from pilot to full production.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs); analyze trends and implement improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bakery/Pastry Chef, Food Technology or Engineering Background is required. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in production/plant leadership within bread/bakery/confectionery.

Proven multi-shift management and supervisor leadership experience is essential. Deep knowledge of bakery processes, equipment, and ingredients is also necessary.

Candidates should possess a strong command of production planning, inventory control, and Lean/Continuous Improvement tools. Working knowledge of food-safety protocols is a must.

Ideal candidates will have experience in process-driven and data-led environments. They should be able to improve systems and SOPs continuously and communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and operators.
