Job Title: Intelligent Property Specialist

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality IP solutions that enable successful product launches.
  • Patent Strategy: Develop and implement patent litigation and opposition strategies to align with business objectives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence of products to provide stakeholders with valuable insights on key patent rights, informing acquisition or early launch decisions.
  • Product Opportunities: Identify and evaluate new product opportunities for driving portfolio growth and assess innovative ideas for patent protection/development.
  • Patent Search and Prosecution: Conduct comprehensive patent searches to determine patentable inventions and oversee the filing and prosecution of patent applications to enhance and protect intellectual property estates.
  • Due Diligence Activity: Lead due diligence activities for products of interest to inform stakeholders about the value proposition from an IP standpoint, facilitating M&A deal success.

 

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)/Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
  • Relevant Experience: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) with 8 years of relevant experience/Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) with 6 years of relevant experience preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
  • Additional Skills: Relevant techno-legal expertise with respect to regulated markets, in-depth knowledge of Patent laws of India, US and Europe, attention to detail, and acumen for Paragraph IV filings in USA.
