As a senior data analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the Data Analytics capability at Amazon FinOps. This is a unique opportunity to work on large datasets and influence long-term business strategies.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data processing, SQL, and Python programming languages. They must be comfortable navigating ambiguous environments and providing input on project priorities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop complex data processing jobs using appropriate technologies (e.g., SQL, Python)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business domains, requirements, and expectations
  • Manage project timelines, anticipate risks, and resolve issues
  • Build dashboards to track operational metrics, including KPIs, process/channel/team specific goals

Required qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
  • 2+ years of experience with complex Excel VBA macros writing
  • Experience defining requirements and using data to draw business insights
  • Experience with SQL or ETL

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Experience using very large datasets
