Job Overview:

Strategic Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sourcing value within the Procurement Centre of Excellence, covering a range of spend categories including group insurance and operations services, consulting, human resources, marketing, communications, finance services, software, IT services, and IT hardware/products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive the sourcing process forward.
  • Execute the sourcing process, ensuring prompt turnaround and high-quality results.
  • Support clients through the sourcing process, including contract negotiations and execution, risk management, and governance requirements.
  • Assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, including contractual terms and conditions, escalations, and supplier relationships.
  • Apply project management concepts to plan and execute the sourcing process effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Proven expertise in leading sourcing initiatives, developing strategies, and managing vendor contracts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba Contracts and Sourcing Modules, as well as third-party risk management for Financial Service Institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial analysis skills and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience creating project plans, managing to plans, communicating effectively, and engaging necessary stakeholders in projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Makes good decisions based on analysis, common sense, wisdom, experience, and good judgment.
