Visual Design Specialist

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Design Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in crafting visually engaging interfaces and design systems across various digital projects.

This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver appealing and accessible solutions for multiple industries. You will contribute to visual strategy, develop consistent UI assets, and actively participate in building high-quality digital products within an innovative and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-fidelity UI assets, layouts, icons, and component libraries for digital interfaces. Ensure all designs adhere to best practices in usability, visual hierarchy, contrast, and accessibility.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate and smooth design implementation. Coordinate with UX designers and product managers to translate requirements into visual solutions.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems, documentation, and style guides. Review and iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback and usability data.
  • Stay informed about the latest UI trends, tools, and technologies. Participate in critiques and contribute to elevating overall team craft.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in UI or Visual Design for digital products.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing web or app UI, visual design, and consistency across interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
  • A solid grasp of color, typography, layout, spacing, and iconography.
  • An understanding of accessibility and responsive design principles.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present rationale for visual choices.
  • The ability to collaborate across disciplines and balance multiple projects.
