Financial Leader

The position oversees the Finance function for our upcoming hotel in Bikaner, India.

This role champions, develops and implements property-wide strategies to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.

The leader provides financial expertise to enable successful implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives while maximizing return on investment. Additionally, creates and executes a business plan aligned with the property and brand's business strategy, focusing on execution of financial and accounting activities and delivery of desirable financial results.

Strategic Planning and Decision Making:

  • Develops means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new opportunities.
  • Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses, and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles information, analyzes, and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
  • Analyzes differences between actual and forecasted wages for efficient budget planning.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business plans.
  • Creates the annual operating budget for the property.
  • Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities for managers.
  • Implements a system of controls to manage business risks.
  • Safeguards assets, improves operations, and profitability through a strong accounting and operational control environment.
  • Analyzes financial data and market trends.
  • Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Monitors operating department's actual and projected sales.
  • Produces accurate forecasts enabling operations to react to changes in the business.

Leading Finance & Accounting Teams:

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound decision-making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
  • Communicates strategic goals, focus, and owner priorities to subordinates in a clear manner.
  • Leverages functional leadership and communication skills to influence executive teams, property strategies, and lead own team.
  • Oversees internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Assigns clear accountability backed by authority to team members and other departments' managers.
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Accountant or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years experience in accounting preferably with the hotel industry.
