Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist

Financial Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and payroll related compliance, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and present timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and cash forecasting to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Manage budgeting processes and support cross-functional departmental budget planning for strategic alignment.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and local tax regulations for transparency and accountability.
  • Timely and accurately file all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C etc) and respond promptly to audits, assessments, and notices.
  • Handle GST audits, assessments, and departmental notices with professionalism and promptness.
  • Timely and accurately file income tax returns for seamless compliance.
  • Manage statutory, Tax audits, assessments and ensure timely responses within the stipulated time frame.
  • Strong knowledge of transfer pricing compliance and documentation for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (e.g., MGT-7, AOC-4, DIR-3 KYC etc).
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing with RBI (e.g., FLA return, FC-TRS etc).
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records for all FEMA-related transactions.
  • Coordinate both internal and external audits for continuous improvement.
  • Accurately maintain up-to-date accounting records for informed decision-making.
  • Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial misappropriation.

Strategic Support

  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial planning and risk management for long-term sustainability.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts for data-driven insights.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed to address emerging challenges and opportunities.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff for their professional development and growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Train staff on financial systems and compliance requirements for seamless implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in financial management and accounting with a strong track record of achievement.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards for accuracy and reliability.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., NetSuite, Tally etc) for streamlined financial management.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills for actionable insights and informed decision-making.
