About the Job

The role of a JDE CNC Systems Consultant at JB Poindexter & Co is to ensure the smooth operation of our enterprise software system. This involves installing and configuring deployment servers, execute special instructions, setting up web server instances, and creating and running installation plans.

As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for performing application release upgrades, upgrading different environments, and promoting objects in upgraded ERP systems. You will also manage user IDs, create test and production roles, assign environments to roles, and assign roles to users.

In addition, you will be involved in security management, setting up security for different roles, configuring securities such as application, action, row, column, etc. and implementing SOD based on provided requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure deployment servers, execute special instructions, set up web server instances, and create and run installation plans.
  • Upgrade Activities: Perform application release upgrades, upgrade different environments, surface testing of upgraded instance, promotion and testing of objects in upgraded ERP.
  • User/Role Management: Manage user IDs, create test and production roles, assign environments to roles, assign roles to users, and setup role sequencing.
  • Security Management: Set up security for different roles, configure securities such as application, action, row, column, etc. and implement SOD based on provided requirements.
  • Package Management: Build and deploy full packages, build and deploy update packages, backup objects to different pathcodes or PAR files, and execute special instructions like table/index generation, backup, generate and restore tables.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced JDE CNC Systems Consultant who has a minimum of 2 years of experience in JDE CNC. The ideal candidate should have excellent business communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to work within large teams and learn new functionality and modules during projects.

A graduate/postgraduate degree in IT or Computer Science with exposure/knowledge in networking/JDE implementations/upgrades is required. Prior experience of working in onsite/offshore models is also essential.
