Government Grants Role

Job Summary:

  • This is a cross-functional role that drives brand visibility through impactful award submissions.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in research, writing, and negotiation with a proactive mindset and strong relationship-building skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legal, policy, or regulatory frameworks, especially relating to government programs, sponsorships, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Award Submissions: Research and craft compelling award entries backed by strong factual data to maximise winning potential.
  2. Sponsorship Identification: Identify, evaluate, and secure relevant sponsorship opportunities that align with our brand and business goals.
  3. Proposal Development: Develop persuasive sponsorship proposals and pitch decks for potential partners.
  4. Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate and manage end-to-end sponsorship agreements while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  5. Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with award committees, event organisers, and industry associations.
  6. Submission Tracking: Track submission deadlines and deliverables for awards and sponsorships.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to gather case studies, metrics, and insights that support award nominations and pitches.

Government Policy & Schemes:

  1. Research: Research and track government policies, grants, certifications, and incentive schemes relevant to our sector.
  2. Collaboration Opportunities: Identify opportunities for collaboration or support from government bodies and public institutions.
  3. Application Submission: Draft and submit applications for government certifications, schemes, regulatory approvals, or policy-driven initiatives.
  4. Liaison: Liaise with regulatory and policy stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with government requirements.
  5. Documentation: Prepare briefing notes, internal reports, and documentation to inform decision-makers and teams.

Requirements:

  1. 0–3 years of relevant experience
  2. A degree in Law, Communications, Public Policy, Marketing, or a related field
  3. Strong research, writing, and documentation skills with attention to detail
  4. Proven ability to craft award entries, sponsorship pitches, or government grant applications
  5. Understanding of legal, policy, or regulatory frameworks—especially relating to government programs, sponsorships, and compliance
  6. Proactive, relationship-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and presentation skills
  7. Ability to multitask and manage multiple high-stakes deadlines with minimal oversight
  8. Passion for building brand visibility and unlocking strategic growth opportunities
